Yes. However, alcohol must be kept separated from Wizards of the Coast sanctioned events. If a sanctioned event is taking place, alcohol cannot be sold or consumed in or around the play area. Stores that serve hard alcohol or liquor are not permitted into the WPN in North America. (For other regions, please contact Retail Support.) WPN stores still need to be family friendly and retail hobby gaming focused. Stores that place too much emphasis on alcohol may be refused entry into the WPN.

Satellite events can be held at establishments that serve alcohol. The establishment cannot serve alcohol in the area where the play is occurring, they cannot serve hard alcohol or liquor (in North America; for other regions, please contact Retail Support). The establishment must be family friendly and open to all ages. To add a satellite event location, please submit the request here.

The WPN is a purely promotional program and does not control the territory in which you are authorized to sell Wizards' product. Your authorized territory is determined through your distributor agreement or Wizards' or Hasbro's direct sales agreement. Please contact your distributor and/or direct sales representative to request information regarding your authorized territory.

You can no longer log into any version of the Wizards Event Reporter with your DCI number. Please update WER to the current version and login with your Wizards Account.

Use your Wizards Account to log into WER.

If you don't have a Wizards Account, follow these instructions to get one.

If you do not have a DCI number:

1. Go to Accounts.Wizards.com and click "Create an Account" and follow the steps to set up your account.

If you already have a DCI number:

1. Go to Accounts.Wizards.com and click "Log In." (Not "Create an Account.")

2. Enter your DCI number and password. (Don't use your email address!).

3. On the next screen, complete your account information. Your Login ID is what you'll use to log into WER going forward.

4. Once you're logged in, make sure you recognize the DCI number listed in your information. If you do, you're all set! If not, move on to step 5.

5. Click "Combine Accounts."

6. Enter the login ID and password for your other account.

7. Choose the DCI number you'd prefer to keep. (The other one will be permanently unusable.)

Stores don't have Wizards Accounts or DCI numbers; individuals do.

Each individual tournament organizer within your store (including store owners and managers) should have their own Wizards Account and password. This is what they will use to log into Wizards Event Reporter (WER).

Do not share your password with anyone. If your store has more than one T.O. (i.e. more than one person using WER), do not check WER's "Remember Me" box.

If you'd like to add more organizers to your store, you can do so by having them fill out the form on the My Store page.

Premier Play (PPTQs, GPTs, etc.)

Select a question to view the answer.

Pro Tour Qualifiers (PTQs) are the highest level of in-store play available in the Wizards Play Network. This level of play can help establish your store as a destination for competitive Magic play.

Events are offered by invitation to select Advanced level WPN store locations and winners of PTQ events earn a travel award and an invitation to the associated Pro Tour from Wizards of the Coast.

Interested in hosting a Pro Tour Qualifier at your store? We recommend taking these steps:

  1. Start by running Grand Prix Trial events:
    • Available to all Advanced level WPN retail locations.
    • Learn how to get started with Grand Prix Trials.
  2. Review the additional requirements to host a Pro Tour Qualifier.

Didn't work? Contact your local support office.

An event is "returned" when the results contain an error. Common examples include: events begun on the wrong date, uploaded with the wrong number of rounds, or ended too long after they began.

If you have a returned event, contact your local support office for assistance. Note, however, that not all returned events can be corrected.

If you have the event results, enter them and upload the event. If your upload is unsuccessful, contact your local support office.

If you do not have the results of a delinquent event, simply cancel the event.

  1. Make sure you're logged into WER.
  2. Make sure you're connected to the internet.
  3. Confirm that WER is online. (Downtimes are announced at WPN.Wizards.com).
  4. Confirm that your computer's security features are not interfering. (Consult a specialist for further assistance.)
  5. Contact your local support office.

Direct them to accounts.wizards.com to create a DCI account using a PC or smartphone.

If they can't get online, or they're under 13 years old, issue a temporary DCI card and use the number on that card to enter them into WER. They can activate their DCI account online at a later time.

You'll use your Wizards Account to log into Wizards Event Reporter (WER). To reset your Wizards Account password, go to Accounts.Wizards.com, click "Log In," then "Forgot Password." Enter your Wizards Account Login, not your email address.

If you don't have a Wizards Account, follow these instructions to get one.

If a delinquent event doesn’t have results and you don’t have records of the results, cancel the event. This will resolve the delinquent event.

If a delinquent event doesn’t have results, but you have records of the results, contact your local Wizards of the Coast office.

If your delinquent event has results, but they couldn’t be uploaded, contact your local Wizards of the Coast office.

Resolved events won’t impact your delinquency rate.
