What Is It?

Store Championship is the grand finale of the competitive Magic season. It's the season's capstone event, meant to keep players engaged all season long.

Schedule your event as Standard, Draft, or Sealed. Run Swiss rounds based on attendance, followed by a playoff for the Top 8. If you do Standard, run the Top 8 as Standard too. If you do Sealed or Draft, you can do a redraft for the Top 8. Just make sure that's known in advance.

WPN stores of Core level and above can sign up through Wizards Event Reporter to receive a kit that includes event instructions and prizes.

What Formats Can Be Run?

Choose between Booster Draft, Sealed Deck, or Standard format for your event.

How Many Events Can Be Run?

You can schedule one event that can be held on any day of the week.

Best Practices

1. Choose the Ideal Format for Your Store. To help boost attendance, try asking your player community what format they would prefer to play.

2. Focus on the Competition. This event lands near the top of the competitive curve, so run a Swiss tournament based on attendance and include a playoff for the top performers.

3. Encourage Participants to Return with a New Player. The weekend after Store Championship is Magic Open House. Let competitors know they can bring a new player to Open House and get a foil full-art promo card from the following set.
