Prepare players to explore the plane-encompassing House and uncover new rooms that will affect their Commander games.
Duskmourn: House of Horror Commander Party has players exploring a haunted mansion room-by-room, revealing mysterious Tiles with abilities that may benefit the player—or change the course of the game for everyone.
Commander Party can be run twice during the Duskmourn play season, from October 4 – 10 and November 1 – 7. With the first event window starting this week, use this checklist to get your store and staff up to speed on the frights your players will face as they partake in Commander Party.
Participants who dare to uncover Tiles and explore the haunted mansion earn the promo Crippling Fear, while supplies last. WPN Premium stores received this promo in traditional foil.
A select number of WPN stores in the United States also received a special Magic: The Gathering themed Betrayal at House on the Hill promotional event card to pass out during Commander Party for participation. This card includes an explanation for how to use it.
The Commander Party event is inspired by the room-crawling suspense of Betrayal, so players may find that this promotional event card ties in well to the game.
While players are always welcome to bring their own deck to Commander Party, the event presents a great opportunity for you to promote the latest pre-constructed decks. Plus, the Duskmourn: House of Horror Commander Decks contain Scheme cards that go with the Archenemy format, which made its return with this set.
With special three-on-one rules joined with the Tile discovery mechanic of the Commander Party itself, a game of Archenemy Commander has striking similarities to a game of Betrayal at House on the Hill.
In your marketing kit, you received English-language Commander Party event materials to run your event, including the Tiles to uncover new areas of the mansion along with a Play Aid to instruct players how to explore the mansion.
These materials are available on the marketing materials page in the following languages:
