When Will Marketing Kits Arrive?

Marketing kits will begin arriving at WPN stores as early as Friday, April 10, with most delivered in the days leading up to the start of Prerelease on April 17.

New Welcome Decks

The new Secrets of Strixhaven Welcome Decks are updated 40-card, single-color starter decks designed to introduce new players to Magic, each containing a reward insert redeemable for a physical bumper sticker or digital MTG Arena packs.

When you give out these Welcome Decks, invite players to complete a brief player survey. Stores in North America will find a flyer with a QR code that will link players to the survey included in the marketing kit; stores in other regions can download and print this flyer so players can easily participate.

Strixhaven Bumper Stickers

These are awarded when a player redeems a physical reward insert from random boxes of the new Welcome Decks. Follow the customer redemption process detailed in the Dates & Details article to award these while supplies last.

Commander Party Play Aids and College Cards

Commander Party is a narrative-driven Commander event held twice each season, featuring themed materials that give players a fresh, flavorful way to enjoy the format they love.

For Secrets of Strixhaven, Commander Party is a school-themed event where players join one of five colleges and prepare unique spells as they meet in-game achievements. After casting all three spells, they unlock a powerful, college-specific thesis ability.

Magic Presents: Open the Archive Materials

Magic Presents: Open the Archive is a special Draft event where each player begins with an emblem that lets them spend mana as though it were any color to cast Mystical Archive cards, enabling splashy, flexible gameplay. Players who finish with a winning record earn a blind-pack Mystical Archive challenge coin. Collecting the coins gives players an incentive to return and play again.

Promo Packs

New Secrets of Strixhaven Promo Packs are included in your marketing kit and are intended to last across the next three seasons, through in the first week of September. No additional Promo Packs will be produced for the Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes or Magic: The Gathering® | The Hobbit™ seasons, so plan your distribution accordingly.

Set Poster

WPN stores in all regions except North America will receive the Secrets of Strixhaven set poster in their marketing kit as usual.

Stores in the North America region should have received their Secrets of Strixhaven set posters in a separate delivery in early February (this shipment also included the Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes and Magic: The Gathering® | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set posters).

Tri-fold Table Signage

These tri-fold table signs advertise the product line, explain draft format deck archetypes, and promote the Magic Presents: Open the Archive event. Display these at key locations in your store, such as your point-of-sale area and on tables in your play space to aid players and promote products.

Merchandising Header

Use the merchandising header to clearly identify the Secrets of Strixhaven product locations by placing it above product on wall units or shelving, or in a sign holder on tables or countertops.

Countertop Standee (WPN Premium Only)

Place the countertop standee at your point of sale, such as on the counter or a shelf just behind it, to keep the set visible to shoppers as they check out. Its compact 12-inch footprint and rounded top are designed to preserve counter space and sightlines while drawing attention to the set.

Consider displaying past countertop standees together on a dedicated shelf, in your play space, or in a front-window display to continue promoting available sets.

Downloadable Player Survey QR Code Flyer

Among the downloadable digital marketing assets for Secrets of Strixhaven, you'll find a printable flyer with a QR code that links directly to the Welcome Deck player survey. Stores can print and display this flyer to make it easy for players to access the survey after receiving a Welcome Deck. Inviting players to share their feedback helps us better understand how these materials are used and shape future promotional offerings.
