Magic: The Gathering®—FINAL FANTASY marks the grand debut of Universes Beyond sets entering the Standard format, sparking fresh interest in the format and bringing in new players.

Standard Showdown events can fuel this enthusiasm and grow weekly engagement among both active and lapsed players. The events can be a next step for new and intermediate players who are curious about competitive Magic and want to explore a more challenging Magic path.

Standard Showdown events are also a great lead-in to the Store Championship in which players can compete with some of the community's best players for more promos and bragging rights among the local community.

There are two exciting promos for the Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Standard Showdown: Squall, SeeD Mercenary and Ultima. You can decide which to give out at each event. We suggest allowing winners of each event to choose their promo while supplies last.
