Update to Poster Distribution for WPN Stores in the United States and Canada
Stores in the United States and Canada that have not yet ordered their Lorwyn Eclipsed set poster will now have one shipped directly to them—no action required. Stores that previously paid a handling fee will receive a credit, and stores with multiple locations that were unable to order a poster for each one will receive a poster at every location. Posters will ship to WPN stores in the United States and Canada in January. Stores outside North America will receive their set poster in the Lorwyn Eclipsed marketing kit as usual. Unlimited scheduling. We recommend prescheduling one each of Magic Academy: Learn to Play and Deck Building events. Schedule and report ad-hoc day-of events whenever Welcome Decks are used to teach a new player.

Marketing Kits
Marketing kits are scheduled to begin arriving on January 9, 2026. It will include promotional materials and promo cards to support sales and play at your store. Visit the Lorwyn Eclipsed Marketing Kit and Promotional Resources article to see what's included.
Buy-a-Box Promo
Players who purchase a Lorwyn Eclipsed Play Booster box or Collector Booster box from WPN member stores are eligible to receive the Buy-a-Box promo card, Harmonized Crescendo, while supplies last.
New Promo Packs
A new batch of Promo Packs will be arriving in the Lorwyn Eclipsed marketing kit. This supply of Promo Packs is intended to last through the Magic: The Gathering® | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles season until the release of Secrets of Strixhaven, when the next Promo Pack shipment arrives. Please plan your distribution with this timing in mind.

Prerelease
Scheduling: unlimited during Prerelease week, January 16–22
Prerelease is your community's first opportunity to play with the new set in a casual, fun environment. Players open Prerelease Packs, build decks from the six Play Boosters and included promo card, and then play!
The Prerelease period is also your opportunity to kick off sales early. WPN stores can begin selling all products from the new set during the Prerelease week, giving you a jump on sales before the wider market release. Check out the Prerelease Early Sales Policy for complete details.
Commander Events
All three Commander events below use the Commander promo, Gran-Gran. WPN Premium member stores will receive foil promos and non-Premium members will receive non-foil promos.
Commander Box League
Scheduling: unlimited during Prerelease week, January 16–22
Promo reward: one Commander promo and one Buy-a-Box promo per participant, while supplies last
Commander Box League events run alongside Prerelease. Players open a Play Booster box and build a 60-card Commander deck to play throughout the period.
Two-Headed Giant Commander Night
Scheduling: one event monthly, January 16–February 26
Promo reward: one Commander promo per participant, while supplies last
Two-Headed Giant (2HG) Commander Night invites players to partner up for casual two-on-two Commander games—an ideal way to help new players or at-home Commander players feel comfortable stepping into store play with a friend.
Commander Party
Scheduling: one event per period, January 30–February 5 and February 13–19
Promo reward: one Commander promo per participant, while supplies last
Commander Party Play Aid
Commander Party weaves together gameplay and story in an exciting Commander event. There are two event windows for Commander Party—schedule one event in each window so players have a couple opportunities to enjoy the event.
Magic Academy
Scheduling: unlimited, January 23–February 26
Promo reward: one promo (while supplies last) with purchase of starter product or six Play Boosters

Magic Academy is a two-part event series that introduces new players to Magic: The Gathering using instructional videos that guide players. Stores in North America can order additional teaching brochures and pocket reference cards via the WPN Marketing Portal.
In Magic Academy: Learn to Play, players use the Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender Beginner Box, Welcome Decks from past sets, or another starter product to learn the basics and play their first games.
In Magic Academy: Deck Building, players use six Play Boosters to build a deck and experience Limited-format play.
Standard Showdown
Scheduling: one event per week, January 23–February 26
Promo reward: one promo card for the first-place winner of each event, while supplies last
Standard Showdown is a weekly event where players compete with Standard decks for a single weekly winner promo card prize. If your store receives more promo cards than there are weeks in the season, you may award them to event attendees at your discretion—just be sure to reserve one for each week's winner during the season.
Store Championship
Scheduling: one event, February 6–22
Promo reward:
- Participants receive the Goblin Bombardment promo card, while supplies last.
- Top 8 players receive the Guide of Souls promo card.
- Winner of the event receives the Ocelot Pride promo card.
- WPN Premium stores only: Top 8 and winner receive one additional non-foil promo printed with your store's name.
Store Championship is a seasonal, in-store event that lets players compete in a structured Standard tournament for prizes.
WPN Premium stores will receive an additional set of Top 8 and winner promos in non-foil, printed with your store's name. Both versions of each promo should be provided to qualifying players; they are not intended to allow you to run a second event.
Friday Night Magic
Scheduling: unlimited on Friday, January 23–February 26
Promo rewards: Promo Pack or additional rewards at store discretion
Friday Night Magic is the weekly heartbeat of in-store Magic play. You can schedule unlimited events every Friday in any format and supported by seasonal Promo Packs distributed at your discretion.
Lorwyn Eclipsed Promo Packs will be arriving in your marketing kit.

New Products: Draft Night and 60-Card Theme Decks
With Lorwyn Eclipsed, players can look forward to two exciting new product offerings that make it easier than ever to jump into Magic.
Draft Night: Designed for four players, Draft Night includes everything needed to run a fun, ready-to-go Pick-Two Draft at home or in-store. Each box also comes with a Collector Booster that can be awarded to the winner—or simply enjoyed by the group—making it an exciting introduction for new drafters and a great event-night option for your community.
60-Card Theme Decks: Launching alongside the set are two Standard-legal, ready-to-play decks that give players an easy entry point into Magic. Featuring two popular themes, Pirates and Angels, these decks are perfect for casual battles out of the box and provide a terrific stepping stone toward Standard in-store play.
New MTG Arena 60-Card Theme Deck Reward
Only for the Lorwyn Eclipsed season, participants in Magic Academy: Learn to Play events will receive an exciting new digital reward. Players who register with their Wizards Account will be granted in their MTG Arena account one of the two new 60-Card Theme Decks, Angels or Pirates, selected at random.
