- Unlimited scheduling. We recommend prescheduling one Learn to Play and one Deck Building event. You can also schedule and report ad hoc events anytime you use instructional products to teach a new player.

Events and Promo Usage
Prerelease
Scheduling: unlimited within the one-week Prerelease window, November 6–12
Prerelease is your community's first opportunity to play with the new set in a casual, fun environment. Players open Prerelease Packs, build decks from the six Play Boosters and included extra rare or mythic rare card, and then play!
WPN stores can also begin selling all products from the new set during the Prerelease week, giving you a jump on sales before the wider market release. Check out the Prerelease Early Sales Policy for complete details.
Commander Events
Both the Commander Party and the Two-Headed Giant Commander Night events use the Commander promos. WPN Premium member stores will receive traditional foil promo cards and non-Premium members will receive non-foil promos.
Commander Party
Scheduling: one event per period, November 20–26, 2026, and January 15–21, 2027
Participation promo: one Commander promo per participant, while supplies last
Commander Party is a story-inspired Commander event that immerses players in the setting of Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek with themed rules, play aids, mission cards, and party cards, creating a fun, casual event that welcomes new players, lore enthusiasts, and Commander fans alike. Each pod of three to four players receives a play aid, with party cards placed in its designated area.
Two-Headed Giant Commander Night
Scheduling: one event per month during the season, November 13, 2026–January 28, 2027
Participation promo: one Commander promo per participant, while supplies last
Two-Headed Giant (2HG) Commander Night invites players to partner up for casual two-on-two Commander games, each piloting their own 100-card Commander deck while sharing a 60-point life pool. It's an ideal way to help new players or at-home Commander players feel comfortable stepping into store play with a friend.
Magic Presents: To Boldly Go
Scheduling: unlimited during the season, November 13, 2026–January 28, 2027
Reward: Magic Presents: To Boldly Go promo card, awarded at the rank of Captain
Magic Presents: To Boldly Go is a Sealed league that runs the entire season, from November 13, 2026, through January 28, 2027. Players begin with six Play Boosters and build their card pool with optional additional boosters over time by playing matches at Starfleet Academy and across the four quadrants of the galaxy, ranking up through Starfleet as they go.
Standard Showdown
Scheduling: one event per week, November 13, 2026–January 28, 2027
Winner promo: one promo card for the first-place winner of each event, while supplies last
Standard Showdown is a weekly event where players compete with Standard decks for a single winner promo card prize. If your store receives more promo cards than there are weeks in the season, you may award them to event attendees at your discretion—just be sure to reserve one for each week's winner during the season.
Magic Academy: Learn to Play and Deck Building
Scheduling: unlimited, November 13, 2026–January 28, 2027
Magic Academy is a two-part event series that introduces new players to Magic: The Gathering using instructional videos that guide players.
- In Magic Academy: Learn to Play, players use the Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Beginner Box, Welcome Decks, or another starter product to learn the basics and play their first games.
- In Magic Academy: Deck Building, players use six Play Boosters to build a deck and experience Limited-format play.
Friday Night Magic
Scheduling: unlimited on Fridays, November 13, 2026–January 28, 2027
Promo rewards: Promo Pack or additional rewards at store discretion
Friday Night Magic (FNM) is a recurring, in-store event designed to bring together your community for fun Magic play. You can schedule unlimited events every Friday in any format your community prefers, supported by seasonal Promo Packs distributed at your discretion.
Promo packs were included with your Magic: The Gathering | Reality Fracture marketing kit and are intended to last until the next batch arrives in early February 2027, so plan your distribution accordingly.

Magic Presents: To Boldly Go Season-Long League
Magic Presents: To Boldly Go is a season-long Sealed league designed to keep players coming back to your store throughout the Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek season. Running November 13, 2026–January 28, 2027, players grow their card pool over time through matches at Starfleet Academy and across the four quadrants of the galaxy, advancing through the ranks of Starfleet as they play. The casual play encourages ongoing participation, and rewards players who reach the rank of Captain with a special promo card.
Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek is a 2026 Universes Beyond set that brings the world of Star Trek to your store for longtime Magic players and Star Trek fans alike.
