Events and Promo Usage
Prerelease
Scheduling: unlimited within the one-week Prerelease window, September 25–October 1
Prerelease is your community's first opportunity to play with the new set in a casual, fun environment. Players open Prerelease Packs, build decks from the six Play Boosters and included extra rare or mythic rare card, and then play!
WPN stores can also begin selling all products from the new set during the Prerelease week, giving you a jump on sales before the wider market release. Check out the Prerelease Early Sales Policy for complete details.
Commander Events
Both the Commander Party and the Two-Headed Giant Commander Night events use the Commander promos. WPN Premium member stores will receive foil promo cards and non-Premium members will receive non-foil promos.

Commander Party
Scheduling: one event per period, October 9–15 and October 23–29
Participation promo: one Commander promo per participant, while supplies last
Commander Party weaves together gameplay and story in an exciting Commander event. There are two event windows for Commander Party—schedule one event in each window so players have a couple opportunities to enjoy the event.
Two-Headed Giant Commander Night
Scheduling: one event per month during the season, October 2–November 5
Participation promo: one Commander promo per participant, while supplies last
Two-Headed Giant (2HG) Commander Night invites players to partner up for casual two-on-two Commander games. It's an ideal way to help new players or at-home Commander players feel comfortable stepping into store play with a friend.
Magic Presents: Reality Echoes
Scheduling: unlimited scheduling, October 16–November 5

Reality Fracture Set Symbol Pin
Magic Presents: Reality Echoes is a special Pick-Two Draft event that can be run during the second half of the Reality Fracture season. It brings an exciting variation twist to the standard Pick-Two Draft format by centering gameplay around Echoed Pairs—a bonus sheet of paired legendary cards found in Reality Fracture Play Boosters.
Magic Presents: All Leylines' Eve
Scheduling: unlimited scheduling, October 30–November 5
Participation promo: Leyline of Anticipation
Magic Presents: All Leylines' Eve is a festive, Halloween-themed Draft event that can be hosted October 30–November 5, 2026. Players draft from a mix of booster packs spanning many different past sets, embracing unpredictability and creativity. Each player begins with a Leyline of Anticipation promo card on the battlefield, making for an exciting, fast-paced game.
Store Championship
Scheduling: one event, October 9–November 5
Promo rewards: coming soon
Store Championship is a seasonal, in-store event that lets players compete in a structured Standard tournament for prizes.
WPN Premium stores will receive an additional set of Top 8 and winner promos in non-foil, printed with your store's name. Both versions of each promo should be provided to qualifying players; they are not intended to allow you to run a second event.
Standard Showdown
Scheduling: one event per week, October 2–November 5
Winner promo: one promo card for the first-place winner of each event, while supplies last
Standard Showdown is a weekly event where players compete with Standard decks for a single winner promo card prize. If your store receives more promo cards than there are weeks in the season, you may award them to event attendees at your discretion—just be sure to reserve one for each week's winner during the season.
Magic Academy
Scheduling: unlimited, October 2–November 5
Magic Academy is a two-part event series that introduces new players to Magic: The Gathering using instructional videos that guide players.
Stores in North America can order additional teaching brochures and pocket reference cards via the WPN Marketing Portal.
- In Magic Academy: Learn to Play, players use Welcome Decks or another starter product to learn the basics and play their first games.
- In Magic Academy: Deck Building, players use six Play Boosters to build a deck and experience Limited-format play.
Friday Night Magic
Scheduling: unlimited on Friday, October 2–November 5
Promo rewards: Promo Pack or additional rewards at store discretion
Friday Night Magic is the weekly heartbeat of in-store Magic play. You can schedule unlimited events every Friday in any format and supported by seasonal Promo Packs distributed at your discretion.
New and Notable for Reality Fracture
Two Prerelease Updates
Two changes are coming to Prerelease beginning with Reality Fracture: The At-Home Prerelease program will be retired in all regions, and Two-Headed Giant Prerelease will get an updated product configuration. You can find all the details in the announcement.
