Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Promos and Usage

New and Notable

• Wizards Account registration – players must register with their Wizards Account to receive the crystal counter, velvet pouch, and Photoflyer token in-store rewards. Guide players who do not have a Wizards Account to MyAccounts.Wizards.com/register to sign up and ensure they will be eligible to receive their rewards.
• Crystal counters – Prerelease players receive a collectible d10 spindown crystal counter for each event they attend (available while supplies last). A matching d20 spindown die version of the crystal counter can be found in 1-in-20 Prerelease Packs. Invite players to participate in multiple Prerelease events to collect them all and get the velvet pouch to store them.
• Velvet pouch for crystal counters – Players who attend two or more Prerelease events receive a velvet pouch to store their crystal counters.
• WPN Premium Photoflyer tokens – Prerelease players at participating WPN Premium stores can have their photo taken by store staff and insert it into a Photoflyer frame to use as a token.
• Magic Presents: Chocobo Racing events – A weekly event series available throughout the season, featuring Booster Draft or Sealed Deck format play. Players gain points for participation, bringing friends to play, and match wins to earn special rewards: a Chocobo art print at 10 points, and a Chocobo Pinfinity AR Pin at 20 points.

Event Promos and Materials

• Squall, SeeD Mercenary and Ultima Standard Showdown promo – provide one promo to the winner of each weekly Standard Showdown event.
• Preordain Store Championship participation promo – provide to all Store Championship participants while supplies last.
• Death's Shadow Store Championship Top 8 promo* – provide to Top 8 players at Store Championship.
• City of Brass Store Championship winner promo* – provide to the first-place winner of your Store Championship.
• Despark and Culling Ritual Commander Party promos – provide one promo to each Commander Party participant while supplies last; which promo is provided is up to the organizer's discretion. WPN Premium stores will receive traditional foil version.
• Commander Party play aids and party cards** – provide to players to reference special rules during the event.
• Chocobo Racing foil art prints – provide to players who earn 10 points in the Chocobo Racing Series events.
• Chocobo Racing Pinfinity AR pin – provide to players who earn 20 points in Chocobo Racing events.

Seasonal Materials

• Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY foil posters – energize your space with six posters that include a main set poster you can feature alongside other Magic set posters, and five bonus character posters—try hanging them together for a dramatic full-wall display in your play space!
• Chocobo Racing event poster and Chocobo Track stickers – to track player points at weekly Chocobo Racing events.
• Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY sticker sheets – a participation prize for Magic Academy players or may be used as a gift with purchase for Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Starter Kit.
• Herald's Horn Buy-a-Box promo – a gift with purchase for full displays of Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Play or Collector Boosters.

*WPN Premium stores will receive a second version of the Store Championship Top 8 and winner promo cards; provide both versions to qualifying players at the event.

Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Events

Prerelease

Unlimited scheduling June 6–12

Prerelease is your players' first chance to get their hands on Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY and only at WPN stores! During this period, WPN stores may begin selling all products from the new set one week ahead of non-members and other market channels.

At Prerelease, players use a Prerelease Pack to build a 40-card deck and explore the set in a casual, party-like experience. Wizards of the Coast provides a quantity of free-of-charge Play Boosters to use as prizing for the event.

For Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY, Prerelease attendees will receive a collectible crystal counter d10 for each event they participate in while supplies last. In one out of 20 Prerelease Packs, attendees will find a matching crystal d20 spindown die. Players that attend two or more events will receive a velvet bag to store their crystal counters. Wizards Account registration required to receive reward materials.

Magic Presents: Chocobo Racing Event

Once-per-week scheduling all season

Please note: The poster for the Chocobo Racing event was printed with the incorrect start date. We apologize for this error and request that you kick off your Chocobo Racing event on the intended start date of June 13.

The Chocobo Racing event offers players special rewards for playing in Draft and Sealed events during the Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY season. Players earn points for participation and winning matches:

• Players earn 3 points for each Draft or Sealed event they attend (excluding Prerelease events).
• Players earn 1 point for each match they win in a qualifying event.
• Players earn 1 point for bringing in a new player who signs up for a Wizards Account and participates in a Chocobo Racing event.

Players that earn 10 or more points during the series earn a foil Chocobo art print. Players that earn 20 or more points during the series earn a Chocobo Pinfinity AR pin. Player points can be tracked using the Chocobo Racing event poster and stickers included with your seasonal materials kit.

Magic Academy

Unlimited scheduling all season

Magic Academy does the heavy lifting of introducing new players to Magic in a two-part program.

• At Magic Academy: Learn to Play, players use Welcome Decks or any starter product to learn the basic rules and play their first games.
• At Magic Academy: Deck Building, players use six Play Boosters to build their first deck and experience Limited-format Magic.

Both events use premade instructional videos, letting your staff focus on individual questions and customer needs.

Players who sign up for Magic Academy using their Wizards Account and purchase six Play Boosters or any starter product receive a Dragon's Hoard promo card, included in your Tarkir: Dragonstorm kit, while supplies last.

Standard Showdown

Once-per-week scheduling all season

Standard Showdown is a weekly event where your players can hone their Standard format decks and compete for battleworthy promos. For Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY, WPN stores will receive two different promos to provide to the winner of each week. Which promo is awarded each week is up to organizer discretion.

Depending on your play metrics, you may be allocated more promos than there are weeks in the season. You may award additional promos to event attendees at your discretion but be sure to reserve at least one promo for each remaining week of the season.

Store Championship

Once-per-season scheduling: June 28–July 20

Store Championship is the culminating event of the season for Standard players. They can refine their decks and strategies throughout the season at weekly Standard Showdown events to prepare for this next-level challenge—and earn bragworthy prizes.

Provide event participants with promos while supplies last:

• All participants: Preordain
• Top 8 players: Death's Shadow
• Store Championship winner: City of Brass

Qualifying WPN Premium stores will receive a second set of Top 8 and winner non-foil promos with the store name printed on the card; provide qualifying Top 8 players and the winner with both promo versions.

Commander Party

Two event periods: June 20–26 and July 18–24

Commander Party offers Commander play with bespoke materials and special rules for each season iteration. For Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY, players can create a hero (and even draw an image of their hero on a token) that they'll guide through a series of increasingly difficult quests for rewards until they complete the final quest step to win.

Commander Party will feature two promos for Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY, Despark and Culling Ritual. Provide one promo to each event participant while supplies last. We recommend selecting one promo to provide at each of the two seasonal events.

Schedule one Commander Party event for each event window, June 20–26 and July 18–24, to give players multiple opportunities to enjoy the special rules—and to earn both promos.

Friday Night Magic is the weekly heartbeat of Magic in-store play. You can schedule as many events as you'd like every Friday featuring any format. Friday Night Magic is supported with seasonal promo packs at your discretion.
