It is time once again to bring your Commander community together for this season’s Commander Party! This time players will be diving into a headlong mad dash for the core of Ixalan. Just like last season, The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander Party will bring its own wild and wonderful rules to make the evening a night to remember.

The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander Party is available to all WPN stores and will be available as a one-night weekend event with a scheduling window of December 15 – December 17.

Commander Party Promo: Unclaimed Territory

As part of your The Lost Caverns of Ixalan promo kit, you received retro frame versions of Unclaimed Territory to use as participation promos for your Commander Party event. These promos are only available while supplies last, so be sure to use them in your event promotion to encourage early preregistrations.

WPN Premium locations that received their designation before the September 8, 2023 deadline received foil versions of the promo card.

How to Run Your Commander Party

The release of The Lost Caverns of Ixalan brings a new twist to the Commander Party. This time, players—with their favorite commander deck in-hand—will break into pods of four and careen through the depths of Ixalan to be the first to reach Chimil, The Inner Sun.

Using the Play Aid on their pod tables, players will overcome challenges to advance closer to the ultimate goal. Along the way, each task completed will grant an in-game boon. Each player that reaches Chimil, The Inner Sun may claim an unclaimed God card and gain its effect for the rest of the game.

Use Downloadable Local Language Materials to Boost Sign-Ups

Printed English-language Commander Party materials were mailed to your store. Both English and local-language materials are also available for download on the marketing materials page for you to print as needed.

For the first time ever, if your players participate in a WPN Commander Party event at your store using the Wizards account that matches their Arena account, they'll be eligible to receive these four digital Commander cards for their Brawl decks on MTG Arena:
