What is the Chocobo Racing Event Series?

Chocobo Racing Events are the weekly Booster Draft and Sealed event based on the FINAL FANTASY VII mini-game "Chocobo Racing". Whenever players play Draft or Sealed events with Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY in your store, earning points to reach special rewards just for this event.

Players will earn points that accumulate with each new event they participate in, bringing them closer to the rewards each time they play. Players will also be able to draft as much as they like, including bringing friends and family along!

Excluding Prerelease, any Booster Draft or Sealed Deck event that you run using Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY product at your store qualifies as part of this event series. Schedule a full calendar to get players in store, racing against one another to reach the rewards before you run out.

How to Run Your Chocobo Racing Event Series

Once you schedule your event in Wizards EventLink using the event template, advertise the Chocobo Racing Event Series to your players. Encourage them to sign up using their Wizards Account, making repeat play even easier for them as they play more in the league.

We strongly recommend you run your events using Swiss Rounds to keep earned point totals more consistent across players attending each event. As players earn points, use the Chocobo claw print stickers provided to you to track their progress on the event poster!

Rewarding Points

As players enjoy racing around the track throughout the season, they'll earn a set number of points that build toward rewards.

Award points for the following:

• Players earn 3 points for each Draft of Sealed event (excluding Prerelease) they attend.
• Players earn 1 point for each match they win in a qualifying event.
• Existing players that bring in a new player who signs up for a Wizards Account and participates in a qualifying event earn 1 point.

When a player reaches 10 cumulative points, they earn a foil Chocobo art print. When a player reaches 20 cumulative points, they earn a Chocobo Pinfinity AR pin! Rewards are limited, and we encourage you to schedule as many events as you can to keep players racing along the track to earn these rewards before your store runs out.

At the end of the season, please hand out any remaining rewards to players who participated throughout the league based on final standings.
