What Is D&D Encounters Season of Champions Celebration?

The Season of Champions Celebration invites players to your store to experience the new Dungeons & Dragons®: World of Warcraft® Gameplay Expansion, and it launches a mini-campaign set in Azeroth that continues across four Weekly Play events. Players take on the Deadmines dungeon with premade characters or their own, and your Dungeon Masters receive the adventure materials they need, so there's nothing to build from scratch.

The Celebration event can be scheduled anytime November 6–29 and supports multiple tables of players who will play through the D&D Encounters: Deadmines Dungeon adventure at the same time, working toward a shared outcome. It launches the Season of Champions and draws players into the overarching story that continues through the Weekly Play events.

The Season of Champions Celebration event seamlessly connects to the D&D Encounters Weekly Play events to create a complete seasonal experience, with a strong opening that draws players in, followed by four weeks of exciting play that will keep them coming back for more adventure in Azeroth.

How to Get a Play Kit

All stores will receive access to the digital play kit, which includes the adventure and play materials—everything you need to run the Celebration and Weekly Play events. The digital play kit will be available to download from this page and the WPN Marketing Materials page beginning October 14 (you must be signed in with your store-connected Wizards Account for access).

Please note that all play kits are in English only.

Physical Play Kits

The first 1,000 eligible stores to schedule a Season of Champions Celebration event before the October 5 deadline may also qualify to receive a physical play kit sent to them free of charge. Physical kits will be prioritized for stores that:

• Did not receive a physical kit for the Season of Magic, or
• Requested a Season of Magic kit, ran D&D Encounters events, and reported their Season of Magic play

Note that this does not guarantee a kit, as supplies are limited to the first 1,000 stores. Only stores in the following countries are eligible to receive a physical play kit: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Australia, and New Zealand. Stores that qualify for a physical play kit will be notified by email.

Schedule and Promote Your D&D Encounters Season of Champions Celebration

An exciting crossover experience awaits both D&D players and World of Warcraft fans, and now is the time to get your events on the calendar. Start by scheduling your Season of Champions Celebration event in Wizards EventLink.

While you're setting up your Celebration event, also schedule four weeks of D&D Encounters Weekly Play sessions beginning the week following the Celebration event so players can continue the adventure in your store all season long.
