Commander Dueling is back for Strixhaven: School of Mages Prerelease!

Every store's Strixhaven allocation includes a limited number of Commander Decks. Any store running a Prerelease can use those Commander Decks for Open Dueling: casual side events, accessible to anyone and everyone, whether they're taking part in a main Prerelease event or not.

That means any player can pick up a Commander Deck during Prerelease week, even if they aren't buying a Prerelease pack to play in an In-Store, At-Home, or Remote Prerelease.

You can schedule In-Store (in certain regions) and At-Home Commander Dueling through EventLink any time during Prerelease week—we suggest that stores start a Commander Dueling thread through their community hub so your players can jump into a game as soon as they grab their deck.

STX Commander Dueling Commander Deck Allocation

All WPN members will get a flat allocation of Commander Decks for Open Dueling—and all WPN Premium members will get a higher flat allocation.

This allocation of Strixhaven Commander Decks can be used for Open Dueling throughout the week of Prerelease. This is a Strixhaven-only addition to the Prerelease Early Sale promotion.

As a reminder, here's how we're handling other allocations until further notice.

STX Prerelease Allocation

Typically, a store’s Prerelease allocation is based on the highest Prerelease attendance in the last two Prereleases. However, current Prerelease allocations include Theros Beyond Death until further notice.

STX Promo & Product Allocation

We have taken a "snapshot" of your Tickets, Engaged Players, and Activated Players. Hereafter, we will allocate Promo Packs, exclusive products, and so on, based off either the snapshot or your real-time numbers—whichever is higher.
