With in-store play reactivated, tabletop events are available in Wizards EventLink for the first time—including Double Masters. Here's everything you need to know.
On June 1, the temporary suspension of in-store play ended, and organizers are now free to use Wizards EventLink and Wizards Event Reporter to schedule tabletop events at their discretion.
We have taken a "snapshot" of WPN metrics beginning February 15, so there is no incentive to run or report any play, whether online of offline, or to resume in-store events before it is safe to do so.
We recommend all WPN members review and observe best practices for event management as provided by local health authorities, as well as organizations such as the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control.
This marks the first time tabletop events have been available in Wizards Eventlink, and we encourage WPN members, if you're running any Magic events, whether in-store or online, to run them with EventLink. Get all the info you need to get started here.
In fact, today's a good day to start using EventLink if you haven't already—Double Masters Launch Party is available for scheduling now, in both EventLink and Wizards Event Reporter.
Double Masters is filled to the brim with powerful and popular reprints—and it's twice as nice. We've doubled everything about Double Masters. Double the rare slots, double the box toppers, double the promos, and double the first-picks in Draft during the Launch Party: players can take two cards for their first pick each pack.
Here's everything you need to know about the event and how to make the most of Double Masters if you aren't yet hosting in-store play.
If you aren't running in-store play during the event window, don't worry. You'll get the promos for the Double Masters Release Event whether you're able to schedule or not. And players can grab these two promos either from playing at the event or buying a box of Double Masters.
Players are already going to be opening and playing with some of the most powerful cards in Magic's history, and this set is stuffed with new art, special treatments, and combos that shine in Limited.
Add in these two promos and two box toppers, and Double Masters becomes one of the best sets ever for players to get from their local game store.
If you're running in-store play, you can schedule any number of Double Masters Launch Party events between August 7 and August 9.
Like we mentioned earlier, Double Masters is all about doubling the fun—players can take two cards for their first pick each pack during these Draft events.
Drafting is a community favorite, especially for a powerful set like Double Masters. But if you'd prefer, 4-Pack Sealed is also available, and it's a great way for players to experience the set. 4-pack sealed is only available in EventLink, so if that's your choice, schedule it there.
You can schedule and run Drafts through EventLink or WER, but this is a great chance to try EventLink in your store.
EventLink integrates with the Magic Companion app. If players are using Companion, their app will notify them of who they are paired with, and they can report results in the app. That, in turn, cuts down on lines to check pairings or report results.
Scheduling for Double Masters Launch Party is open! Try scheduling and running your weekend of events through EventLink today.
