Bloomburrow play season is well underway as the animalfolk come together to protect their home from the disastrous Calamity Beasts. As the season continues, make sure your event calendar is full of Standard events building up to Store Championship.

As a reminder, you can schedule your Store Championship event anywhere from August 24 through September 15. This expanded window allows you to take full advantage around weeks between with plenty of events to get players returning to your store over and over again.

Schedule Standard Showdown to Start

Standard Showdown is a weekly Standard play program where players gather to face off in tournaments using their Standard decks—and Bloomburrow Standard Showdown events present a unique opportunity: as of Bloomburrow's release, four sets have rotated out of Standard. That means now is the time for players to experiment with Bloomburrow cards and figure out new and powerful card combinations to show off their skills.

For reference, the following are the sets that are no longer Standard legal as of Bloomburrow's release:

• Innistrad: Midnight Hunt
• Innistrad: Crimson Vow
• Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty
• Streets of New Capenna

And the following sets are Standard legal as of Bloomburrow's release:

• Dominaria United
• The Brothers' War
• Phyrexia: All Will Be One
• March of the Machine
• March of the Machine: The Aftermath
• Wilds of Eldraine
• The Lost Caverns of Ixalan
• Murdrers at Karlov Manor
• Outlaws of Thunder Junction
• Bloomburrow

Each week, your players will compete for the winner promo, Ossification, which is one of the five special Cowboy Bebop promo cards that support this event series.

Standard Showdown is just one step toward building strong repeat play habits within your community—plus, these events make a great lead-up to Store Championship.

Entice Players to Play In-Store in August for Magic: The Gathering Arena Rewards

From August 2 through 31, players who participate in up to four in-store Standard events at participating WPN locations will receive one reward in Arena per event played. Players must participate in each event using their Wizards Account that is connected to Magic: The Gathering Arena in regions where Magic: The Gathering Arena is supported.

Once they're registered in an eligible in-store event with their Wizards Accounts, your players will be set to earn the following rewards based on the number of events they participate in:

• After the first event: one Random Rare card reward
• After the second event: one Random Rare card reward
• After the third event: one Bloomburrow pack and Ral, Crackling Wit card style
• After the fourth event: one Bloomburrow Mythic pack

In order for your players to receive their rewards, make sure your Standard events are properly reported in Wizards EventLink before August 31.

This month's rewards are a great opportunity for you to boost in-store play habits among your players, potentially drawing first-time visitors to your store.

Share Store Championship Promos to Spark Conversation

As the day for Store Championship nears, share out the promos through various social channels to start conversation across your community! As a reminder, here are the promos for Store Championship:

• Shark Typhoon – Store Championship Top 8 promo
• Full-Art Urza's Saga – Store Championship Winner promo

WPN Premium stores receive an extra set of the Top-8 and Winner promos in nonfoil with their store’s name printed on the card. Both versions of each should be provided to qualifying players.
