We're kicking off the return of Standard Showdown in a big way—for the first weekend of Standard Showdown, your players can get their hands on two Year of the Dragon promo cards! These promos will be sent with your Murders at Karlov Manor promotional kit, so be sure to save them for the beginning of Standard Showdown the week of February 9 – 18.

Additionally, if your store runs two or more Standard Showdown events during the month of February, you'll qualify to receive an oversized Magic card to be displayed in your store, sent with your Outlaws of Thunder Junction promo shipment. Make this kickoff one of your February Standard Showdown events and get one step closer to earning this WPN-exclusive reward.

For participating players, hand them a copy of Dragonlord's Servant while supplies last. Then, for the winner of your first Standard Showdown event, hand them a copy of Sarkhan Unbroken. This should be in addition to your weekly winner promos for Standard Showdown, which we'll share at a later date.

These special Year of the Dragon-themed promo cards will be distributed as part of a different Standard-focused program in APAC and Japan, but we are thrilled to bring them to the rest of the world to help you hit the ground running with your Standard Showdown events!

Leading up to this Standard Showdown kickoff, we encourage you to run additional Standard Constructed events in your store. Even starting with a few Booster Draft events to lead into Standard Constructed can give players the opportunity to get familiar with the current Standard set rotation, build up their collections, and refine their decks.
