Magic: The Gathering®—Doctor Who™ releases on October 13, and with your promotional item kit arrival on the horizon, now is the best time to make sure you're ready to run an interstellar event for the ages.

Launch Party Promo: Past in Flames

The promo for your Doctor Who Commander Launch Party event is Past in Flames. You'll receive a quantity of this promo dependent on your community size, and players can earn themselves a copy by coming to your store, purchasing a Magic: The Gathering®—Doctor Who™ Commander Deck and playing at least one Commander game in-store during your Launch Party event.

Players may earn additional copies of the promo by buying additional Commander Decks and playing additional games in-store, while supplies last.

Doctor Who Poster

A set poster makes a great conversational piece for your store, and we encourage you to hang the Doctor Who poster somewhere that sparks conversation from your customers: whether that's near your point of sale or somewhere prominent in your play space.

Promos for Wilds of Eldraine and The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™ Holiday Release

You won't be using these promos until later, but the following promos will be arriving with the rest of your promotional kit:

• Pyroblast – for Wilds of Eldraine season sales starting October 9 (outside of Japan)
• Ice Out – for Wilds of Eldraine season sales starting October 9 (outside of Japan)
• Rampant Growth – for The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™ play participation starting November 3

Commander Launch Party Details

From October 13 – 15, your players will travel in the TARDIS with the Doctor and their companions—or join forces with formidable foes to bring an end to the Doctor. This event is a key opportunity for you to cross-promote the set to Doctor Who fans and encourage them to come to your store, pick up a deck, and play Magic with their friends!

To make the event even more exciting, each Doctor Who Commander Deck contains 10 Planechase cards featuring locations players may recognize from the franchise, and effects that will guide how every player in the pod plans their next move.

Players earn one copy of the promo, Past in Flames, for purchasing one Commander Deck and playing at least one game in-store. They can earn additional copies by purchasing additional decks and playing additional games.

Doctor Who has a history of iconic moments with beloved characters and memorable foes. By sharing the stunning art and cards with your community, you may kickstart conversations surrounding the release—and that may turn into preregistrations for your event.

Your promotional kit will begin arriving on October 6, and the Commander Launch Party begins October 13. Make sure your events are scheduled in Wizards EventLink and get your community prepared to travel across time and space.
