Lunar New Year is this weekend—are you ready to welcome the Year of the Rabbit with your players? WPN stores in the Asia-Pacific region can kick it off with another new APAC League!

Like last year, the promos and League events are exclusive to the Asia-Pacific region.

This year-long event is a great way to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit with your community and encourage new players to jump into the fray with epic games from each Standard set release in 2023.

APAC League Overview

The APAC League is split into five seasons, spread out through all of 2023. The first season of the APAC League runs from February 10 – March 19, and you can schedule events throughout the season to celebrate Lunar New Year. Here's how the event works:

• Your store can host any number of APAC League Events during the season period.


• When scheduling, use Sealed, Booster Draft, or Standard format with the Swiss pairing method.

Please provide each participant with one promo from the corresponding season for each APAC League event they attend while supplies last. For season one, provide participants with one promo and one token for each event they attend.

WPN stores in Japan will receive the Year of the Rabbit promos, but will not be hosting APAC League events—stores in this region will use the previous Magic League framework, where players are provided with the seasonal Year of the Rabbit promo after attending the Magic League twice within each season's event dates.

For every season, you'll be sent Year of the Rabbit Participation Promos determined by your community size. WPN Premium stores will receive a doubled allocation of promos for your APAC League events. Your store will only receive promos for the next season if you run a sanctioned event during the previous event season, so be sure to report your events using the proper template in Wizards EventLink.

Each of the five event periods gives you an opportunity to bring new players into your store, highlighting their successes throughout the whole year.

Year of the Rabbit Promos by Season

Each season of the APAC League is accompanied by epic promos that highlight the Year of the Rabbit—a time of contemplation and rest, and of swift movement and travel, like the clever rabbit itself.
