Introducing the WPN Marketing Portal: Now Open for All WPN in North America!

Level up your store’s presentation of Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons with custom, print-on-demand marketing solutions available 24/7.

The Wizards Play Network team originally launched the WPN Marketing Portal powered by our partner, Smartpress, with 300 North American WPN Premium retailers in 2023. Now, one year later, we’re thrilled to announce that we are expanding access to all 3,300+ WPN stores in the U.S., Canada, Guam, and Puerto Rico. Still, this is only the beginning: we are exploring opportunities to expand WPN Marketing Portal access to our global retail partners in the future.

The WPN Marketing Portal is loaded with incredible features, including easy customization, a smooth checkout process, and an ever-expanding catalog of high-quality materials available to choose from. We’re even including complimentary shipping for all users on the portal!

WPN Marketing Portal Details

Now available to all WPN stores in the U.S., Canada, Guam, and Puerto Rico, the WPN Marketing Portal offers self-service, print-on-demand marketing materials available 24/7. Our ever-expanding catalog can be customized with your store’s details and delivered to your doorstep within 7-14 business days.

These materials are available in addition to your regular WPN marketing materials like set posters, so never fear—you’ll still receive your normal promotional material kits.

The WPN Marketing Portal can be found at wpn.collaterate.com—U.S., Canada, Guam, and Puerto Rico stores, be sure to bookmark this page to have customizable, flexible marketing materials right at your fingertips.

WPN Premium stores will continue to receive a promotional marketing credit balance to spend each season. WPN stores, reach out to your Business Development Specialist to find out how to take advantage of this and the many other benefits of achieving a WPN Premium designation.

What's Available in the WPN Marketing Portal

The WPN Marketing Portal will be open year-round. At launch, retailers will have access to seasonal Magic: The Gathering materials for Modern Horizons 3, Bloomburrow, Duskmourn: House of Horror, and Magic: The Gathering Foundations, plus a wide range of materials to promote the new Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Core Rulebooks! In addition to these seasonal materials, you’ll always be able to access long-term or “evergreen” materials to advertise these beloved games to your players year-round.

Marketing material options on the Portal includes posters, hanging banners, free-standing tension fabric displays, flyers, table signage, sidewalk signage, window clings, and more.

In the future we’ll keep adding more options—and you're always welcome to let us know what you would like to see added by providing feedback right through the WPN Marketing Portal, via the Contact form on the Help Topics page.

Any items marked “Custom” can be fully customized with your store’s details.

Instructions for each marketing material can be found on the corresponding page within the Portal as well.

When you are choosing the quantity to order for each item, remember that pricing shown is the subtotal for the entire quantity (not price per unit). The first item in each order includes a base materials and press set-up charge. Keep in mind, additional copies of the same custom material will cost less than the first; you’ll get the best pricing on higher quantities of your customizable items.

How to Get Started

Logging In

Log into the site at wpn.collaterate.com. See your invitation email sent to your store email address for your initial login username and password; it begins with the subject line "[WPN] Marketing Portal Now Open! Login Information for [Your Store's Name]."

Be sure to update your password after you log in for the first time to maintain account security—you can do this on the Account page when logged into the portal.

It is up to your store to decide who should have the login credentials for your store—limiting to owners, managers, and/or admins is our recommendation.

Remember that you’re in charge of your store’s login credentials and promotional marketing credit balance. Only share the login with people authorized to spend your store or chain’s promotional marketing credits and/or any saved credit card payment methods.

Shipping

Wizards of the Coast currently covers FedEx Ground shipping costs. This is subject to change.

WPN Premium Promotional Marketing Credits

WPN Premium stores will receive a promotional marketing credit balance to spend each season. This balance is provided to WPN Premium stores by Wizards of the Coast to spend toward marketing materials each season. Stores are welcome to spend beyond your promotional marketing credits to purchase additional materials.

Promotional marketing credits will expire at the end of each season and will not roll over from set to set, so we encourage you to use up all your promotional credits each season. You can check current credit information on the “Current Seasonal Info” page on the Portal.

WPN Premium Chain Stores

If you are part of a chain store, you must work with your WPN Business Development Specialist to get your account set up for the WPN Marketing Portal. Please note that this feature of the Portal is only available to WPN Premium members.

Marketing Materials Policy Reminder

Please refrain from using custom text on any marketing materials provided through the WPN Marketing Portal for jokes, vulgar language, or personal messages. Language used on these materials should be related to the sale of sealed Magic or Dungeons & Dragons product or events related to in-store Magic or D&D play.

Marketing materials provided via the WPN Marketing Portal are meant for display in your store, and may not be resold or used as player prize support. For additional guidance, please review our current Marketing Materials Policy.

Troubleshooting

Order-related questions should use the in-portal communications system. Go to your "Orders" page and select the order you're having trouble with. You can select "Messages" and send any questions directly to Smartpress so they can get you the quickest answer.

In the event you are having trouble logging in, or you have another question for the WPN team, please try the Forgot Password feature on the WPN Marketing Portal login page. If this still does not work, please reach out to WPN Retail Support and we’ll be happy to help.

WPN Marketing Portal FAQ

Q: Who has access to the WPN Marketing Portal?

A: Beginning November 12, 2024, we are pleased to extend WPN Marketing Portal access to all WPN stores in the U.S., Canada, Guam, and Puerto Rico!

All current stores in these regions will receive an email with information on how to sign up using the email address registered to your store in our system. New stores will be added to the Marketing Portal on a quarterly basis.

Note that if your store leaves the WPN, you will no longer retain access to the Marketing Portal; WPN Premium stores that lose WPN Premium status will retain access to the Marketing Portal for as long as they remain in the network but will no longer receive complimentary promotional marketing credits.

Q: This used to be a WPN Premium benefit. How does Marketing Portal access differ for WPN Premium stores?

A: Beginning November 12, all WPN stores in the U.S., Canada, Guam, and Puerto Rico will have access to order marketing materials via the portal. However, only WPN Premium stores will be provided the benefit of complimentary promotional marketing credits that can be applied to any materials purchased through the portal.

Q: Are there any complimentary items available through the Marketing Portal?

A: Most items ordered through the portal must be paid for by the store. Select items on the portal may be offered at no charge. WPN Premium users will continue to receive a promotional marketing credit balance ahead of major Magic releases, while all stores will have the option to check out with their credit card to pay their balance.

Shipping is complimentary on the portal at this time.

Q: Does Wizards of the Coast get a cut for orders placed through the WPN Marketing Portal?

A: No, Wizards of the Coast does not receive any monetary benefits from stores ordering through the Marketing Portal. This program is intended to provide WPN members with access to higher-quality, customizable options for in-store marketing materials.

Q: Where can I find my login information?

A: Login information can be found in your invitation email from November 12. Look for the subject line, “WPN Marketing Portal Login Information for [Your Store Name]”.

If your store joined the WPN after November 12, you’ll need to wait for the next quarterly user upload to gain access to the portal.

Q: I’m having trouble logging in and I need assistance, or I have a non-order related question. What do I do?

A: If you’re having trouble logging into the site, first try using the “Forgot Password” reset feature on the WPN Marketing Portal home page.

If you’re still not able to log in, or you have a non-order-related question, please reach out to WPN Retail Support or directly to your WPN Premium Business Development Specialist, and we’ll be happy to help troubleshoot.

Q: Is the Marketing Portal replacing the regular physical shipments of WPN marketing materials?

A: No, these materials are an optional benefit offered in addition to all the normal marketing materials your store receives in your promo kit.

Q: How long will it take for each order to be printed and shipped to my store, and how do I check tracking?

A: Each order will be processed within 48 hours of being received. Including production and shipping time, you can expect to receive your shipment within 7-14 business days. You can check tracking by navigating to the Orders page when logged into your account on the portal, selecting the order in question, then clicking “Tracking.”

Q: After placing my order, I noticed a mistake, or I have a question. What do I do?

A: Log on to the portal and click on “Orders” in the top menu bar. You’ll be able to view order history and click on the specific order you have a question about. You can send a message directly to Smartpress from that order screen by selecting “Messages”—they’ll have all the info they need to help you make it right.

Be thorough when reviewing your proofs and ensure everything is correct before clicking “Approve.” Your order will be produced and shipped to you soon after it is placed.

Q: Why is the price per item more expensive than I’d expect for a regular poster or banner?

A: These marketing materials are “print-on-demand,” which means your order is processed and shipped right away as a one-off. Printing one item at a time is more costly, but allows for customization and more immediate arrival in your store.

When you are choosing the quantity to order for each item, remember that pricing shown is the subtotal for the entire quantity (not price per unit). The first item in each order includes materials and press set-up charge.

Please keep in mind, you’ll get the best pricing on higher quantities with your customizable items!

We think these costs are worth it for your store to have custom marketing, and the costs fit with our research on what stores are currently spending. This is also why we’ve provided promotional marketing credits for WPN Premium stores to spend each season.

Q: Will my promotional marketing credit balance be automatically applied at checkout? Can I use a personal credit card along with my promotional credit balance?

A: Yes! Go ahead and fill your cart with as many marketing materials as you like. Any available promotional marketing credits will automatically be applied, and any remaining balance can be paid with a credit card in the same order/shopping cart.

Q: Do promotional marketing credits roll over from season to season?

A: No, promotional marketing credits do not roll over or stack. Credits will be issued to WPN Premium stores along with new Magic: The Gathering seasonal materials, and both will eventually expire to make way for the newest set of seasonal materials. Be sure to use up your credits each season before they expire!

Q: How often can I place orders on the WPN Marketing Portal? Is it just one per season, or unlimited?

A: You are free to place as many orders as you’d like on the WPN Marketing Portal all year-round.

Q: Can I use my WPN Marketing Portal materials as prize support or a giveaway in my store? Can I sell my marketing materials?

A: No, you may not use these materials for prizing, giveaways, or for sale. They are to be used for display in your store, and to support Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons sales and play in your store only. Please refer to our Marketing Materials Policy for more guidance.

Q: Can I download artwork images from the WPN Marketing Portal and alter them for my own purposes?

A: No, images from the portal should not be downloaded, altered, or printed elsewhere. Please refer to our Marketing Materials Policy for more guidance.

Q: How long should my WPN Marketing Portal materials be displayed in my store?

A: Seasonal materials should be displayed in your store only for as long as the advertised event or product is relevant for encouraging sales. You should plan to take down older materials at regular intervals to make way for newer materials.

Long-term or “evergreen” materials are designed to live long-term in your store and feature iconic Magic: The Gathering or D&D characters or settings that remain relevant throughout the seasons.

Q: What if my store wants to print something else non-Magic or non-D&D branded for our store, like a store logo sign or navigational signage? Can we do this on the WPN Marketing Portal?

A: Currently, WPN Marketing Portal marketing material offerings are limited to Magic and D&D branded materials. If you are looking to print your own marketing materials for your store, we recommend heading over to www.smartpress.com for a custom print experience.
