Scheduling for Ravnica Allegiance opens next week!

Here’s everything you need to know before you schedule:

Ravnica Weekend: Bigger Kit, New Format

Sign up for Ravnica Weekend this time around and get a massive kit: 30 foil full-art rares, 1 playmat, 10 guild prints, 20 foil guild lands and a Dungeons & Dragons adventure—a one-off adventure set on Ravnica.

The format is different, too: Booster Draft, Standard, or Sealed, plus a D&D event (if D&D is available in your region).

If that kit and those formats sound familiar, you’re on to something: we’ve collapsed Ravnica Weekend and Store Championship into one kit, and the Core Set 2019 Store Championship last September will be the last event of its kind.

Going forward, we’re going to use this space to experiment with new events, new kit materials, new ways to drive a mid-season bump in attendance. Jacob Nourigat, our In-Store Play Specialist, will have more info on that next week.

Ravnica Weekend Cheat Sheet

You’re prepping for one, you’re about to schedule the other, and they’re very different events. Here’s what you need to know:

Ravnica Weekend Guilds of Ravnica

Date: 11/9/2018–11/11/2018

Formats: 4-pack drafts, Guild Kit battles, D&D sessions

Kit: 20 foil basic lands, 10 guild prints

Ravnica Weekend Ravnica Allegiance

Date: 02/16/2019–02/17/2019

Formats: Standard, Draft, or Sealed (choose when you schedule it in WER); Guild Kit battles, D&D sessions

Kit: 30 foil full-art rares, 1 playmat, 10 guild prints, 20 foil guild lands

Draft Weekend: Policy & Quantity Revisions

A small but important revision to the promo policy for Draft Weekend: you can now issue a promo to folks who draft over the weekend for each time they draft. It’s a great way to encourage your drafters to play again.

You’ll also notice that the quantities have also been revised: 16 for Core, 32 for Advanced, and 48 for Advanced Plus. Long story short, we were printing way too many of them.

Even at Guilds of Ravnica Draft Weekend—easily the most successful Draft Weekend ever—there were far more promos in stores than there were drafters. The revised quantities better reflect actual attendance.

Prerelease: Guild-Based Packs Return

Which means they’ll be in case quantities of twenty again, rather than the usual eighteen. This way there’s an even number of each guild in the set—Azorius, Gruul, Orzhov, Rakdos, and Simic—to help you give players the guild they want.

If you haven’t yet, make sure to take a look at this article for everything you need to know about your Ravnica Allegiance allocation.

Also, did you know Guilds of Ravnica Prerelease was the best-attended Prerelease of all time? It was! Sign up and let's try to beat it at Ravnica Allegiance.

Open House: Opt Into Welcome Decks

When you schedule Open House in WER, a pop-up window will ask if you need Welcome Decks in your kit. If you do, say yes. If you don’t, say no. (Note: Welcome Decks are still available to order independent of Open House.)

Ravnica Allegiance brings a lot to look forward to. Make sure to schedule all of the programs for your players as soon as possible.
