Notable Events to Schedule: Store Championship, Open House, and Commander Party

It's never too early to begin scheduling your full suite of events, and three we want to call out for The Lost Caverns of Ixalan in particular are Store Championship, Open House, and Commander Party.

Store Championship gives players an opportunity to return to your store during the event season and test their mettle against other players in a tournament. This season, Store Championship is shifting to only allow Standard format events to be scheduled. The Store Championship is a great way to get your community engaged and excited to develop their decks and hone their skills with the new cards a set brings to the Standard format.

Open House is a key opportunity to encourage your community to return to your store after Prerelease—perhaps even with friends or family in tow. Open House brings your Magic fans together with fun games using Jumpstart product you have on-hand. Newer players can be mentored by experienced folks in your community, and you can even run demos using Starter Kit products you have in your store.

Starting with The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™, we opened up Commander Party to be run by every WPN store! For the players in your community that can't get enough of Commander, you can introduce them to this event, which brings Faction Cards to the table. Faction Cards give players additional abilities that are used alongside Play Aids to alter the course of the Commander game.

WPN Marketing Portal Launches October 9 for WPN Premium Stores

We recently announced the latest chapter for our WPN Marketing Portal, which is set to launch soon. Starting October 9, select WPN Premium locations in the U.S. and Canada can order marketing materials featuring evergreen art and designs suited for The Lost Caverns of Ixalan.

For WPN Premium locations to receive marketing materials in time for The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Prerelease, be sure to place your order by October 20, though you may continue to place orders after that date as well.
