Use Allocated Booster Displays for Events, Prizes, and Early Sales

Modern Horizons Prerelease is different. Rather than issue an allocation of Prerelease Packs, prize boosters, and Early Sale Promotion product, each with a designated use, we'll try a simpler format: a single allocation of boosters to apportion as you choose between events, prizes, and advance sales.

For Modern Horizons, your product allocation will be based on your store level*:

Use your allocation to run Prerelease events and provide prizes at your discretion. But we also recommend you reserve a portion for the Prerelease Early Sale Promotion.

The popular Prerelease Early Sale Promotion returns for Modern Horizons, and it's extra special this time.

During Prerelease weekend on June 8–9, sell Modern Horizons booster displays a week ahead of release and hand out one of the promos with each display sold, while supplies last.

You may notice your product allocation is slightly higher than your Buy-a-Box promo allocation. The idea is to provide enough product so that if you sell through your supply of Buy-a-Box promos you still have enough product for events and prizes.

Run Sealed & Draft Prerelease Events

That’s right, you can run Booster Drafts at Prerelease!

Prereleases are traditionally Sealed format, but for Modern Horizons Prerelease only, we’re opening up the option to run Booster Drafts. Advanced Plus stores can schedule up to nine Prerelease events throughout Prerelease weekend, so you can run a healthy mix of the two.

Contact Us Before April 8 to Change Distributors

The distributor you chose for War of the Spark scheduling will be your preferred distributor for Modern Horizons and going forward. If you would like to change your preferred distributor in time for Modern Horizons, contact us before April 8.

Once changed, that distributor will remain your preferred distributor. However, you can contact us if you’d like to change it again for future sets.
