Prerelease for Dominaria United will be an incredible moment for you and your players; the set kicks off an epic story arc, making it an ideal time to encourage new players to give Magic a try in-store.

To further support your efforts, we are conducting a test for the Prerelease Early Sales Promotion period for WPN stores in EMEA. For this test, we have defined a small allocation for each store and given each retailer the opportunity to expand their selection of early sales products in any language available.

Below is the allocation we have defined for each store (available in your local language):

• Set Boosters: 180


• Draft Boosters: 216


• Commander Decks: 4


• Collector Boosters: 12


• Set Jumpstart Boosters: 18


• Bundles: 6

Don't forget that with Dominaria United, stores in your region will receive one promotional Jumpstart Booster Box and have an allocation of additional Jumpstart Booster Boxes. For every three ordered Jumpstart Booster Boxes, you will receive one Dominaria United Set Booster Box to use as prize support. Future Prerelease and Jumpstart Prerelease allocations will be affected by reported play in prior events, so be sure to report your Prerelease and Jumpstart Prerelease events separately.

In addition to this allocation, you can choose to purchase more material—in any language available—and sell it during the Prerelease period (September 2–8, 2022). Retailers in this region will also have the possibility to sell single Boosters in addition to Booster Displays during the Prerelease window.

Is my Prerelease allocation impacted?

No, the process for calculating Prerelease allocation hasn’t changed. Your allocation is based on the highest attendance of the three previous Prereleases.

When does this change start?

We are making this change for Dominaria United.

Is this change only for DMU or is it a long-term change?

We are performing this Early Sales Promotion as a test for DMU. We will collect feedback and analyze the data from this promotion and will define our strategy according to the results of that feedback and analysis.

Why this change to Early Sales?

We are always looking for ways to support WPN stores. We observed that the product allocation was not always enough to support the stores’ actual needs, and therefore we have made it easier for you to acquire the correct amounts. The Prerelease period is the prime sales point for a new set, so we decided to increase your sales opportunity for this time.

Can I buy non-local language products?

Yes! Although the Early Sales allocation is in the local language, additional products you purchase are not restricted to your local language.

What is the maximum quantity I can buy with the Early Sales test?

Wizards of the Coast does not have a maximum allocation of product per store for this Early Sales Promotion. We recommend that you contact your distributor to discuss how much you can purchase.

Does this mean I get more Buy-a-Box promo cards?

No. The Buy-a-Box promo allocation is calculated based on your play metrics and therefore is independent from your Early Sales purchases.

Can I sell single boosters for Early Sales?

Yes! One of the most requested changes was the possibility to sell single boosters during the Prerelease period. We are excited to give you the opportunity to provide this to your customers.
