This summer, your players journeyed to Middle-earth to celebrate a Magic release unlike any other—and this fall, they'll have the opportunity to party all over again with the holiday release. The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™ Holiday Release comes out November 3, and today, we'll review some key products and promos you can share with your community to build excitement.

Play Promo: Rampant Growth

To celebrate The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™ play in your store following the Holiday Release, we're sending all WPN stores copies of Rampant Growth based on your community size. This promo will be sent alongside your Magic: The Gathering®—Doctor Who™ promo kit and can be used to support any player participating in The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth play events at your store happening on or after November 3.

This flexibility allows you to run the events your community prefers with The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™ products. The following formats are all eligible, and can be scheduled as such using the official scheduling templates in Wizards EventLink:

• LTR Booster Drafts
• LTR Sealed Events
• LTR Jumpstart Events (using either Jumpstart Vol. 1 or Vol. 2 Boosters)
• LTR Commander Party (using leftover materials or materials printed from WPN Marketing Materials page)

This promo is available in English, with The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth art in a dark frame—the dark frame version paired with this art cannot be found in any The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™ Holiday Release products. Your players must come to your store and participate in qualifying events to earn a copy of the promo!

Product Lineup

While complete product details can always be found on our product pages, we'll run through what's new and notable for The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Holiday Release.

Scene Boxes

The Lord of the Rings is home to iconic scenes with sweeping action and emotional impact that fans know and love. Each of the four Scene Boxes coming with the holiday release showcases a memorable moment from the novels in a new way: through Borderless traditional foil Scene Cards.

Each Scene Box contains six new-to-Magic cards; the new-to-Magic cards will also appear in Special Edition Collector Boosters in non-foil and surge foil. Legal in Legacy, Vintage, Commander, and other Eternal formats, these cards are an exciting way to celebrate the epic stories of Middle-earth.

Scene Boxes also include an easel display for players to show off the gorgeous art from each scene on their shelves. While each Scene Card is a playable Magic card, the box also contains 6 Art Cards featuring the same art without any game text obscuring the view, allowing your players to appreciate the full scene in all its glory!

Jumpstart Volume 2

The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Holiday Release products include Jumpstart Vol. 2, featuring five new themes for even more mix-and-match opportunities:

• Mortals
• Cunning
• Orcish
• Riders
• Elven

This Jumpstart release includes five new-to-Magic rare cards from the world of Middle-earth. Like the previously released new-to-Magic Jumpstart cards from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth, these will be legal in Modern, Legacy, Vintage, and Commander.

The new-to-Magic Jumpstart cards can be found in both Jumpstart Volume 2 boosters and Special Edition Collector Boosters, with extended-art versions exclusive to Special Edition Collector Boosters.

Jumpstart Vol. 2 Boosters are compatible with any other Jumpstart product, so if you're looking for a fast and fun way to introduce new players to Magic: The Gathering, encourage them to get started with two packs of Jumpstart.

Collector Boosters

The Collector Boosters coming in The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Holiday Release are packed with even more booster fun treatments that go beyond what we explored in the July release. Your players can look forward to even more Booster fun, including classic Brothers Hildebrandt art on 20 reprint cards, Showcase Scrolls of Middle-earth, and Borderless Poster Cards.

The Borderless Poster card, Gandalf the White, is the featured artwork on the poster reward for WPN stores who achieve their minimum metrics requirements. If you achieved minimum metrics by today, September 22, you can look forward to receiving this poster alongside your The Lost Caverns of Ixalan promotional materials to display in your store.
