The Commander Party for Wilds of Eldraine can be hosted by every store in the WPN—and we are thrilled to give you the opportunity to bring your Commander community together for an evening of Commander play with whimsical additions to the rules.

Commander Party is a one-night event that you can schedule to host between September 15 – 17. This guide will help you prepare to run a fantastic Commander Party event at your store.

Commander Party Promo

As part of your Wilds of Eldraine promo kit, you received enough copies of the promo Syr Konrad, the Grim to support your Commander Party event.

Set these up prior to the event itself and ensure each player receives one copy of the promo for participation.

How to Run Your Commander Party

Commander Party events are similar to other Commander Night events you run at your store—your players will gather in pods of four, bringing along their Commander decks (or pick one up in-store to play with) for a couple hours of fun. Commander Party, however, adds something extra to the table: for Wilds of Eldraine, players will be flipping through a storybook full of additional abilities that influence the game.

The storybook—a stack of 10 Faction cards—arrived as part of your promo kit, and you'll want to provide one stack to each pod prior to the start of the event. Once players are settled, start a timer for the length of time you plan to host the event; we suggest around two hours. Then, you can let the Commander game commence!

Toward the end of the event, be sure to give players a 15-minute warning to signal they should begin wrapping up their Commander games. Once the timer sounds off, you can pass out prizes for participation, including the promo card.
